Why Aren’t the Lyricists and Composers Separate in My Copyright Search?

For our free copyright searches, we utilize public databases provided by various PROs and collection societies for musical compositions. Many of these organizations do not distinguish composers from lyricists in their song registrations, and instead payout royalties based on a share of the total musical composition, so we are unable to provide that information on our search results.
