Referral Link (Cookies)
Your best way to earn referral income is via your Referral Link (or Partner Link, for Partners). This creates a 30-day tracking cookie on the user’s device. Cookie referrals are recorded whenever evidence of a valid, non-expired tracking cookie is found, indicating the buyer clicked your link.
How Our Tracking Cookies Work
By understanding how our tracking cookies work, you can use them to your maximum benefit. Here’s what happens when a user clicks your Referral Link (or Partner Link):
- When your link is clicked, a tracking cookie is created on the user’s device.
- The cookie expires 30 days from the date and time it was created.
- Old cookies get replaced with new ones each time a link is clicked; the expiration resets as well. The most recent link click wins the referral.
We take our cookies to the next level by storing the data in our database when possible. This helps us capture every referral, even when users clear browser cookies, or check out on a different device. Check out the next section for details.
One Smart Cookie
Most referral programs stop at cookies in the web browser. Not us. We take your cookies to a whole new level to help you earn from every referral. Here’s how… Once the referred user has created an account and signed in, their user account is updated with information from the cookie we find in their web browser. The information is saved in our database, where it can be universally accessed regardless of outside variables. In this way, cookie data remains accessible even if the user clears the cookies in their browser, checks out on a different device, or purchases in a different region or country. Cookie data in the database is updated with each sign in and before checkout to ensure the most current cookie info is captured. But if no cookie is found, the database is not touched and the most recent data persists. This is a powerful feature of our program that adds value by increasing your number of conversions.
