This guide walks you through getting started with the Giddy web player: creating a free account, confirming your email, connecting Apple Music, and taking the tour.
Before You Start
- A computer or tablet. On a phone, play.giddy.com sends you to the Giddy Music app instead.
- An Apple Music subscription to play full songs.
Already have a Giddy account? Skip to Step 3 and sign in with the same email and password.
Step 1: Create Your Account
- Go to play.giddy.com/signup. (From the home page, you can also select Sign in, then Create an account.)
- Enter your First name, Last name, and Email.
- Choose a Password with at least 6 characters, including one capital letter and one special character, and enter it again in Confirm password.
- Select Create account.
Step 2: Confirm Your Email
- Open the email from Giddy and click the verification link.
- Return to play.giddy.com.
No email? Select Resend verification email on the Check your email to verify your account screen. If you have already left that screen, try to sign in and Giddy will offer to resend it.
Step 3: Sign In
- At play.giddy.com/login, enter your Email and Password.
- Select Sign in.
If you see Your email isn't verified yet, click the link in the verification email first, or resend it from that message.
Step 4: Connect Apple Music
After you sign in, Giddy asks you to Connect Apple Music to play full songs. You have three choices:
- Connect Apple Music: Follow Apple's prompts to sign in with your Apple Account and allow Giddy access.
- Don't have Apple Music? Get it: Opens Apple's page to start an Apple Music subscription.
- Continue with 30-second previews: Skip for now. Songs play as 30-second previews until you connect.
Connecting later: Until Apple Music is connected, an orange button in the top bar reads Connect an Apple Music account to enable streaming. Select it at any time. You can also open your account menu and select Connect Apple Music, or go to Settings.
Step 5: Take the Tour
Giddy greets you with Welcome to Giddy!
- Select Show me Giddy and use Next to walk through the three panes, Explore, the clock, the queue, Party Mode, playlists, Adjust View, and how to share feedback.
- Select Not now to skip it.
To see the tips again later, open your account menu and select Show tips.
Step 6: Start Listening
Drag a song, album, or playlist onto the clock to build your queue, or double-click it to play it now.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use the same account on the web and in the app?
Yes. Sign in with the same email and password and your music is already there.
Why do I need Apple Music?
For now, Apple Music is what gives Giddy its catalog. Direct subscriptions to Giddy are planned.
Does Giddy cost anything?
Giddy is free. Full songs require an Apple Music subscription, which Apple charges for separately.
Why do songs stop after 30 seconds?
Apple Music is not connected, or the Apple Account you connected does not have an active Apple Music subscription.
Why did play.giddy.com send me to a "Take Giddy with you" page?
On a phone, play.giddy.com sends you to the Giddy Music app instead. Your account works in the app too.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
On the sign-in page, select Forgot password? and follow the link Giddy emails you.
